A nurse reflects on the unbreakable bonds between healthcare staff during times of crisis.

I know that my family is safe and taking proper precautions during this pandemic, so I’m not scared they will catch the virus. I’m most afraid that my coworkers will. During this difficult time of not being able to see loved ones, I have come to lean on my coworkers, Not only as friends, but as family. 

They are the ones who truly know what I go through day-in and day-out during this pandemic. They are the ones who remind me to take a deep breath and do the best that I can, They are the ones who offer a shoulder to cry on. 

When you experience a crisis like this together, it creates a close bond that nobody outside of the hospital could possibly understand.
