A Healthcare Hero Needs Your Help

Healthcare Heroes Project embarks on a journey with interior designer Sara Touijer and her team to put into action a charitable program named One Room Wonders. Touijer co-founded this program in which anyone can nominate a deserving recipient for a chance to receive an elegant one-room makeover from One Room Wonders.

The first recipient of Touijer’s free room makeover is Elena - a nurse working in a level one trauma center in the Bronx neighborhood of NYC. Elena is one of the brave frontline workers putting herself at risk to serve patients in one of America’s COVID-19 hotspots. She is also a single mother, working to put her kids through college in the midst of a global pandemic.

Touijer and her team approached this project with one goal: to create a totally redesigned bedroom especially for Elena, while designing a shared bedroom for her kids. However, the team soon realized that the redesign wouldn’t be cheap. To do justice to Elena’s new space and create a worthy space for her children, the team would need a little help from you.
