Due to the recent pandemic, many of these stories have been brought to an end.

A Certified Nursing Assistant describes the losses - and triumphs - of COVID-19 patients at his rehab facility.

I want to share this story to share a bit of hope during this chaotic time.

Working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a Home/Rehab has given me the opportunity to create friendships with many people who each have endless stories to tell.

Due to the recent pandemic, many of these stories have been brought to an end as they now close their eyes and take their last breaths.

One patient in particular was one of the first positive cases, and was likely not to come back from the hospital.

After two months of fighting, he was able to not only return, but to greet me with a smile, a wave of a hand that still had the IV cannula in it and a soft, warm: “Hey.”

A positive case is not always a death sentence. Keep your head up, your hands clean, and never lose hope.

You’ll be amazed what you can overcome.

I wish the public could see what the hospitals look like these days.
