A Gynecologist-Obstetrician discusses the risks of COVID-19 for pregnant women.

I’m a gynecologist-obstetrician in my third year of residency, and I work in the COVID-19 unit of the Maternity Department of the Hospital of Casablanca in Morocco. We are receiving more and more cases of infected pregnant women.

Pregnant women are at risk of developing severe forms of COVID-19. The placental passage of the virus to the fetus has recently been proven. Please make sure that the pregnant women take this disease more seriously!

I hope that we will be able to fight this second wave of the pandemic. All my respects to the doctors and nurses. Stay Strong.
